Alexandria Units

The site is constrained by a main road, a side street and a service laneway with its main aspect facing south towards a large park opposite.

A minimum of four units needed to be accommodated on the site in order to make the development financially viable. The brief called for maximum access to views, units with multiple courtyards, independent unit access from the street and internally from the garage.

The new building’s external walled form echoes the structure of the former occupant and its past industrial use. The four apartments are two and a half stories in height with the lower split level living space having access to both north and south facing terraces, passive ventilation and striking views to the park opposite.
